what we do for newly diagnosed

Through the following activities we enable newly diagnosed people to build supportive networks that help them in going forward.

Information Sessions

Bosom Buddies runs information sessions where you can receive information about the support services and activities that are available across the ACT and surrounding region. These sessions vary from information on exercise, dental care, first aid and nutrition to fertility, genetics, sexuality and reconstruction.

The sessions also provide an opportunity to meet others with similar experiences. Bosom Buddies conducts these sessions throughout the year.

Social Activities

Throughout the year Bosom Buddies holds regular morning teas and after work drinks. These get-togethers provide the perfect environment to meet other members, build networks and catch up with old friends! There is no need to book – just turn up!

NEW!
Young Women’s Group

The Bosom Buddies Young Women’s Group provides one on one support, social gatherings and Information Sessions targeted to your specific needs; women with breast cancer under the age of 40 require a different type of support.

Blue Buddies

Through the breast care nurses or your oncologist we provide patients in the ACT and surrounding regions with a blue Bosom Buddies bag or oncology pack which contains various patients’ aids and information.
