If you love creating things then this may be the volunteer role for you! 

Individuals and sewing groups throughout Australia dedicate their time and creative skills to support Bosom Buddies. They contribute by crafting helpful items and patient aids, known as Buddy Gifts, which are packed into our Buddy Bags and Oncology Packs.

In 2023, over 2,500 patient aids were created by our volunteers to be included in more than 850 Buddy Bags that were gifted to breast cancer patients in Canberra’s public and private hospitals and in regional New South Wales.

Our Patterns

Thank you to everyone who generously create our beautiful drainage bags, seat belt cushions and wraps.  We are now at full capacity with storing them and will reach out again once they have all been shared with breast cancer patients. Your generosity is truly appreciated, and we look forward to connecting with you again in the future.  Revised patterns will be available for the drainage bags and seat belt cushions once we have reduced our current supply.
