Your Support Helps Us to Support Others!
Unlike a lot of our cancer counterparts, Bosom Buddies relies on donations and doesn’t receive funding from local or federal government or the larger national breast cancer organisations.
Your donation is crucial to helping us continue to operate and provide support to those affected by breast cancer and their loved ones.
All donations stay local and directly contribute to supporting people in the ACT and surrounding NSW region.
Bosom Buddies is a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) and all donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible. Our minimum donation amount is $5 due to the cost of processing transactions.
Our wonderful volunteers create items for our patient packs – for free and in their own time. We need your help to continue to provide our other programs and activities – you can donate below to help Bosom Buddies support people experiencing breast cancer.
How You Can Help
A $5 donation will buy two (2) stress balls that are included in our Buddy Bags. They help to strengthen the arm/s after surgery
Your $10 donation provides one (1) Oncology Pack to a patient undergoing chemotherapy before surgery.
Your $15 donation buys one (1) Buddy Bag that holds the Buddy Gifts and information on the services in the region.
Your $25 donation enables a trained facilitator to hold one (1) support group meeting in the region.
Your $50 donation enables us to conduct a breast awareness information session to the community. To empower you to support yourself through regular breast checks.
Your $100 donation will help support one (1) breast cancer patient who is financially struggling to afford a post-surgery garment essential to their recovery and wellbeing.
Your $200 will help us to administer and deliver the programs and services that help breast cancer patients in the region.

How to Make a Regular Donation
The Canberra Southern Cross Club Community Rewards Program is a great way to support us.
Simply link your membership to our charity and 7.5% of your food and drink purchases will go to Bosom Buddies.

Workplace Giving is a charitable donation program that allows employees to regularly donate money to Bosom Buddies (a Deductible Gift Recipient) and receive a tax benefit. Through payroll donations, employees are able to claim an immediate tax deduction.
A bonus is that employers can also match an employee's contribution to make an even bigger impact!
Your regular donation helps us support those diagnosed with breast cancer with the added incentive that you are able to claim an immediate tax deduction.
You can also choose to make a one-off donation to Bosom Buddies through your payroll instead of having a long-term planned agreement. Just like a regular payroll deduction, one-off deductions are made from your income pre-tax, offering a wonderful tax benefit.
